“Waiting”
Maybe it’s the Cold Brew I just drank, or maybe somebody just really needs to hear this today:)) Ha!!
Psalms 25:5 (TPT) “Escort me along the way; take me by the hand and teach me. For You are the God of my increasing salvation; I have wrapped my heart into Yours!” The Hebrew word most commonly translated as “wait” (wait upon the Lord) is qavah, which also means “to tie together by twisting” or “to entwine” or “to wrap tightly.” This is a beautiful concept of waiting upon God, not as something passive, but entwining our hearts with Him and His purposes.” -The Passion Translation p.814
I have to say, I’ve never thought of “waiting on God” like this..it is one of the most beautiful things the Lord has shown me this year! The waiting doesn’t mean we’re just supposed to go on with everyday, normal life until He decides to show up and blow our minds. (which He does so often!) The waiting is where we have a chance to dig into His word and listen for His voice.. to “entwine our hearts” with His. Just wow!
It’s in the waiting that we can truly get to know His heart and become more and more like Him. It’s in the waiting that He gives us strength for the journey. In the waiting we find purpose, destiny, and true peace. “Lord, wrap us tightly in Your arms today. Let our hearts beat in time with Yours.”
I love you all!!💕 Be blessed!!
